This is something that I had not even thought about. Darren's point does make a lot of sense though, so I think that I will have to test this out for myself.

A very interesting article. I post mainly between early morning and early afternoon. I found that if I post early morning, then I get way more interaction from my users. Early afternoon is still busy, but not that busy.

If I need to get something out ASAP, then I just post and do not worry about the time of day. I will however note your findings and try to remember when posting.

I am in California, so I feel like the day is half over when I get up. Also, I am the most creative and thoughtful in the late evening. So I typically post then. I guess that means my posts await my U.S. readers the next morning so that's okay. My daughter is Australia so I know that my posts will reach her in the afternoon, and will be waiting when people get home from work?

It's hard being in the west U.S.. I feel a bit like a slacker getting up so late in the morning! And I'm always too late for Twitter, because I don't approach it until the late afternoon or evening!

I live in Berlin, Germany, but I blog in English, and a lot of my visitors come from the U.S., Canada. I also got some visitors from Scotland and England.
Whenever I schedule a post, and I do that quite frequently, I schedule it for 7am in the morning (my time). So European people will see it when they get up, and all the other ones will be able to read it whenever they want to.
I tweet my posts in the morning and the evening, so I get almost any timezone covered, although it might be difficult for Australians and people from new Zealand.
